KYBELLA®

is the only FDA-approved injectable treatment that destroys fat cells under the chin to improve your profile. The active ingredient in KYBELLA® is synthetic deoxycholic acid. Deoxycholic acid is a naturally occurring molecule in the body that aids in the breakdown and absorption of dietary fat. When injected into the fat beneath the chin, KYBELLA® destroys fat cells, resulting in a noticeable reduction in fullness under the chin. Once destroyed, these cells can no longer store or accumulate fat, so further treatment is not expected once you reach your desired aesthetic goal.

Pricing starts at $600/vial. Packages available.

Why consider Kybella treatments?

Sometimes a double chin is the result of the aging process, while other times it is an inherited genetic trait that we probably wish we’d never received. Unfortunately, dieting and exercise do little to contour this difficult to reach area.

What are some of the most common benefits of Kybella?
  • Non-surgical and non-invasive
  • No anesthesia
  • No downtime
  • Slims, tones and streamlines the profile
  • Reduces a double chin
  • Improves self-confidence in one’s image
  • Long-lasting outcome
  • Short treatment time
How does Kybella work?

Kybella is made from deoxycholic acid, a compound found naturally in the human body. Deoxycholic acid is responsible for fat metabolism. It destroys the cell membranes of fat cells, eradicating them and flushing them out as waste. When injected into the double chin area, Kybella accomplishes this same goal, delivering a more elegant and refined silhouette as well as a better self-image.

How is Kybella administered?

KYBELLA is administered as a series of injections to the treatment area under the chin, destroying fat cells and producing gradual results. Your treatment will be tailored to you. The number of treatment sessions will vary based on the amount of fat under the chin and treatment goals.

How Long do results last?

Once Kybella destroys fat cells, they’re gone forever, which means the results from the injections are permanent. In the clinical trials used by the FDA, even patients who experienced weight gain after receiving Kybella didn’t see the return of their double chins. Still, you should always strive to maintain a healthy weight to maximize the results.

What are possible side effects?

The most common side effects include swelling, bruising and discomfort following the procedure. Serious side effects are quite rare but may include nerve injuries in the jaw that may cause facial weakness, as well as trouble swallowing. In clinical trials, however, most people described simply feeling “tender” four hours after the treatment. Ice and over-the-counter

anti-inflammatory medications can be used to effectively reduce pain and swelling.

How much does Kybella cost?

The cost depends on you and your needs. Everyone’s a little bit different. It’s important to come into our clinic for a complimentary consultation and discuss exactly what your needs are. We will customize a package just for you.

Who Should and Should not get Kybella?

While many people are good candidates to receive Kybella® injections, you should talk to your Ideal Image consultant or doctor. During your consultation at Ideal Image, you’ll be asked a series of questions regarding your health history, existing health conditions, allergies and whether or not you may be pregnant, as all of these factors could have an effect on how your body responds to treatment. Kybella® should only be used by adults 18 and over. The best candidates for Kybella® have moderate submental fullness, good skin quality with minimal laxity and are willing and able to follow post-treatment recommendations.
